Minikube and tutorial

After installing minikube and kubectl

minikube version

minikube start

kubectl version

kubectl cluster-info

Get Nodes in the cluster

kubectl get nodes

This will return minikube , if it is the minikube cluster.

To see the Kubernetes system components

kubectl get pods --namespace=kube-system

Deployment

is a state of Application.K8s will match the current state to the desired state.

describe a Deployment

kubectl get deployments
kubectl describe deployment
kubectl get rs

Create a deployment

kubectl create deployment mydeployment --image=gcr.io/google-samples/kubernetes-bootcamp:v1

OR

kubectl create deployment nginx --image=nginx
