1. If we want to write these manifests from scratch

 helm create poc-apps

This gives us a working chart (values.yaml, templates for Deployment/Service/Ingress, helpers, tests).

• Refactor names/labels via _helpers.tpl and include "chart.fullname" . so resources are consistently named.

• Render & lint before installing:

  helm lint ./poc-apps
  helm template ./poc-apps -n apps | kubectl apply --dry-run=server -f -
  

2. Use a starter (team template) to generate your chart

We can keep a “company starter” with standard labels, policies, etc.

• Put a starter under ~/.config/helm/starters/my-starter (or ~/.helm/starters on older Helm).

• Then:

  helm create --starter my-starter orders
  

We still edit templates/values, but the baseline matches the org’s conventions.
