AMI process

• Start an EC2 instance, customize it
• Stop the instance for data integrity
• Build a custom AMI - this will also create EBS snapshots

AMI Lab

Right click > create Image> give it a name

• Then you can do Launch instances from the AMI
• You can also launch AMI that are created by you or share with you
